Dr. Leigh Cummings
For 12 years, Dr. Leigh Cummings has been providing her patients with exceptional comprehensive dental care. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Presbyterian College before attending dental school at the Medical College of Georgia where she earned her Doctorate of Dental Medicine degree.
Dr. Cummings feels it is important to stay on the cutting-edge of dentistry, so she maintains memberships in the Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association and the Georgia Dental Association.
In her spare time, Dr. Cummings is very involved with several service projects through her church, Milledge Avenue Baptist Church. She also enjoys running, cooking, water skiing and reading.
Dr. Deck Neisler
Dr. Deck Neisler has been offering outstanding dental care for the past 30 years. Highly educated, he obtained his Bachelor of Science in 1977 from Auburn University. He then attended Emory University School of Dentistry and earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree in 1981.
To keep up-to-date on the latest techniques and technology, Dr. Neisler is a member in many prestigious professional organizations, including American Academy of General Dentistry, Georgia Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association and the Georgia Dental Association.
In his personal life, Dr. Neisler has been married for 35 years. He has two sons, ages 23 and 25.
Dr. Robert Pate
For 33 years, Dr. Robert Pate has been providing families with first-class dental care. Highly educated, Dr. Pate earned his dental degree from the Medical College of Georgia. He is also a certified laser dentist.
A Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, the International Congress of Oral Implantology and the Academy of Dental Anesthesia, Dr. Pate stays up-to-date on the latest dental techniques and advancements in technology. He does so by maintaining memberships in many professional organizations. He is currently a member of the American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, American Academy of Craniofacial Pain, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
In his spare time away from the office, Dr. Pate loves to play golf.

Orthodontists
Dr. Gordon Barfield
Dr. Gordon Barfield (Dr. B) was born in New Orleans, Louisiana and brings over 20 years of varied experience to our practice. His formative years were spent in the southeastern part of our country, in Louisiana, Florida, Tennessee and Virginia. He graduated from Salem High School in Salem, Virginia and earned a Bachelor of Science in biological sciences with honors from Roanoke College. He received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1990, and was widely decorated, including being named the recipient of the prestigious William Kramer Award from Omicron Kappa Upsilon. Following his dental training, Dr. Barfield served in the United States Air Force while completing his residency in comprehensive dentistry. In 1993, he joined Dental Associates in Salem, Virginia in the group practice of family dentistry, focusing on cosmetic dentistry. After 14 years of service to his community, he made the decision to return to his calling of orthodontics. He completed his specialty training in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics at the University of Nevada Las Vegas. While there, Dr. Barfield completed original research on the acceptance and use of three-dimensional cone beam computed tomography for orthodontic diagnosis and treatment planning. It was during his tenure at the University of Nevada that Dr. Barfield and Dr. Chrzan developed the concept for their joint orthodontic practice.
Dr. Barfield is American Board of Orthodontics board eligible, having completed phase one of the multiyear examination. He holds active membership in the American Association of Orthodontists (Southern Association), American Dental Association, Georgia Association of Orthodontists, Georgia Dental Association, Northern and Central District Dental Societies, as well as the Hinman Dental Society.
When he’s not creating beautiful smiles, Dr. B loves traveling, scuba diving, cycling and his beloved North Carolina Tar Heels.
Dr. Brian Chrzan
Dr. Brian Chrzan (Dr. C) has been involved in the practice of dentistry for over a decade. From teaching, authoring numerous articles in scientific journals and running a successful private practice, Dr. Chrzan is well versed in the field of orthodontics. Dr. Chrzan graduated from the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine, where he received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree. Subsequently, he completed a three-year orthodontics residency at the University at Buffalo. During that time, he also completed a Ph.D. in Oral Biology, with an emphasis in bone biology.
After living and practicing in Buffalo, New York for eight years, Dr. Chrzan moved to Nevada to develop the post-graduate orthodontic program at the UNLV School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Chrzan served as a faculty member at UNLV for three years, teaching and conducting research in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics. It was at UNLV that Dr. Chrzan and Dr. Barfield established their plan for an orthodontic practice together.
Dr. Chrzan is board certified in orthodontics, and is a member of the American Board of Orthodontics College of Diplomates. He is also a member of the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO), the American Dental Association (ADA), the International and American Associations of Dental Research and the Georgia Dental Association.
